  14. Plutonium is a radioactive, silvery colored metal that is used in nuclear 
  15. reactors (fuel) and nuclear weapons. It is warm from alpha decay. It takes on 
  16. yellow tarnish in air. Plutonium and elements of higher atomic number are 
  17. radiological poisons because of high alpha emission and specific absorption in 
  18. bone marrow. It has six allotropic forms.
